This listing is for our 1/2 inch wide (13mm) flat (white) steel corset boning, BY THE YARD. It is produced by an excellent American manufacturer, and is enamel coated to resist corrosion with proper care.
Our 1/2 inch flat boning has a width of 0.014 inch, or 0.355 mm. This is the industry standard for regular 1/2 flat steel boning.
Ideally, a corset should have flat (white) boning only at the center front and center back to give the wearer support. All other bones should be spiral, as they are designed in particular to conform to the most dramatic curves, and will give more comfort to the wearer, as well as decrease wear and tear on the corset itself.
